Hello. I’m Honoka. Today I will talk about my Italian friend.
One day, I saw a post on Twitter saying, “I want all of you to help who has been homeless for many years and has been forced to stay in the car.” He is Giuliano and lives alone in Milan, northern Italy. During the epidemic of this coronavirus, many people avoided shopping to avoid going shopping and getting infected, but he said, “I don’t have a house anyway, so I’ll go shopping on my behalf.” The post on Twitter struck a chord with his kindness. He put a piece of paper on his car, and he was interviewed by several newspapers.
According to a newspaper article, he lived in a car for as long as eight years. Although the another article says it’s been five years, he says, “I was happy because I was healthy.” I’ve talked to him a few times, and he said, “If you have any problems, please contact me anytime,” and he’s been very helpful.
He has since received over 10000 euro in support and is now living alone in Milan. When I lived in Italy, I remember being very impressed with the kindness of the people who tried to help those in need. I was watching the process of making a donation to help Giuliano on Twitter, in just one day there were many warm comments such as “I want to donate him”, “I will also donate”, “I will cooperate with retweeting this article when it will be ready” I was really impressed this chain that trying to help the others.
If anyone wants to give him additional help, please follow this link. It seems that there are still many donors who donated money even now (January 16th). I really thank you.
