Suicide and murder

Hello. I think suicide and murder are acts that can be transformed into either one with a small trigger. For example, when you were being bullied at school, do you think “let’s die to end this suffering” or “if you remove the bad guy who is bullying from the world, my suffering will end”? I think it depends on something really trivial. And neither is a “healthy” option. The only difference is that in the case of suicide, no one is punished because the victim is himself. In each case, it’s true that you’re pretty mentally driven, and I think anyone with that idea should get the help of a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist.

Murder is not a socially recognized act

However, under current criminal law, you are not guilty of suicide, but you are almost always punished for committing murder. It could be the death penalty or life imprisonment. Alternatively, you may be locked up in a psychiatric hospital for the rest of your life (Article 39 of the Japanese Criminal Code states that the punishment of a mentally ill person is innocent or reduced, but even if he is not guilty or reduced. Treatment is forced in the psychiatric field and may end your life in a psychiatric hospital). Even if the murder is not subject to punishment, it may be guilty and mentally ill, and it is likely to be socially expelled.
At least in Japan and Europe in 2021, murder is not recognized as a means of retaliation, so this alone is a good reason not to murder. For example, during World War II, Japan performed “Kamikaze” (an act similar to suicide bombing), but some of them cursed and killed the United States and Americans who were enemy countries in the war. You may have wanted to do it. In such a case, the Japanese were brainwashed that “America is an enemy of Japan” socially, so “I hate the Americans who are afflicting Japan. I can’t help but kill the Americans and take revenge. I’ll fight hard for it, ” someone may said, but it may have been rather praised. But now, very few countries allow such a thing.

Kill people in a socially accepted way

I want to say “don’t murder”, but that may not make sense anyway. Therefore, I recommend changing the way you commit murder. You don’t have to actually kill yourself, you just have to kill it in a socially acceptable way. For example, there are many things that sing painful and painful things in music. Some of them are radical, but some are refreshing and comfortable to listen to. It may also be a good idea to make a painting. There are many works that make you sad, even if they are not necessarily grotesque. If such things are valued by society, money, status and honor will come in. If not, you can release the stress and handle it legally. You may try to make it a novel. No matter how cruel the hero kills a person in the novel, it is not treated as a murder in the real world. Rather, it will be one of the wonderful works.
I noticed this, and then I started to think, “It’s not a sin to have the feeling of wanting to kill or commit suicide,” and I was a little freed from this spell. No matter how vicious an idea is, just holding it is not a punishment, and the freedom of thought and conscience is protected by the Constitution (Article 19 in the case of the Japanese Constitution).
