Many people keep it as a treasure for the rest of their lives, as they are not obliged to return it when they retire from Poste Italiane (Italian post office).
Previously (I don’t know when it changed, please provide information and images) on a white background with a photo of the employer’s face, but now it’s yellow, as shown in the image. It has a background and the Poste Italiane logo.
Those who can have this badge are mail carriers and people who work as counters.
People who work in fixed-term employment are described as identicativo P, which stands for tentative (provvisorio).
