Hello. I strongly feel that we should be a society where everyone, with or without illness, can do so if they seek euthanasia. Because we believe that by legalizing euthanasia, there is a life that can be “saved.”
In fact, euthanasia is the act of killing a person. That is why it is taboo. Not many people want to have a lively and free discussion. However, some people think that euthanasia is the salvation and that euthanasia is their best decision. Me too.
We were not born of our own will. We were forced to be born. Hiroshi Yoshino, a Japanese poet, states, “In English, when I say’I am born’, I use the passive voice instead of the active voice.” We are here because our parents want it. However, it is possible that the parents did not want to get pregnant, and even if they wanted to get pregnant, the child could be a victim of abuse. And as you can see if you have lived for 10 years, there are many things in our lives that cannot be changed by our own will, such as pain, pain, and sadness. We are born optimistic, so while we are children (not underage), we think the future is hopeful and shining, and life is fun and worth living. I think there is something, and I am brainwashed by society, but as I grow up, I get rid of that brainwashing and see the dark side of my life. I didn’t want to be born, but for some reason I’m forced to live here now. This violence, this cruelty, is why I think we should discuss euthanasia.
Now, even if someone says, “I was born because I wanted to be born,” that person’s life would never be “like a rose flower.” Such a person has survived many difficulties in his life. However, if he admits that “life is painful”, it will be difficult for the person to live the rest of his life, so he forcibly brainwashes himself and tries to live in the power of magic. However, he should have noticed. They are not so different from those who just live by inertia because it is not so good to live and they have no reason or courage to die.
Universities that train nurses teach that “suicide is not a courageous act.” If we encourage suicide or look at it as a hero, we will not be able to live.
And we will die sooner or later. No matter how much you want to live, no matter how much you want to commit suicide, or if you don’t want to commit suicide but want to die early, the city will come to all of them. There is no point in life because you will die anyway. Life becomes more painful because you force yourself to think that meaningless life is meaningful. And even in a life where everything is unequal, only dying comes to everyone. Some will find it a relief, while others will be most afraid of it.
But being alive should not be forced. It is a human right, not an obligation. Do you know how grotesque it is to preach “you must live” to someone who can’t find any light in life? Not allowing euthanasia means that society is forcing us to do the same. And since dying also dies anyway, it should be recognized as a right to die a little earlier or with less pain. Euthanasia is a “right of choice for some,” not an “obligation for everyone.” Even if we legalize euthanasia and open the door to euthanasia for everyone, it only gives some people the possibilities and options, not everyone.
Do not force us to live, but give us the right to die. This is what I want to tell the reader. I think there are many people who want to be euthanized just because they don’t surface. Give them relief.
